I know exactly what you are talking about - there is something about fall that you can feel. The other day I was walking with a teacher outside and I just stopped in the middle of a sentence to feel it. I looked up at the perfect blue sky peppered with the warm colors of the leaves. I closed my eyes and breathed in the crisp air. A nice spring day is pleasant and helps me anticipate the coming summer, but a fall day is special in and of itself. Like you said, you can feel it in your nose. You can feel it on your skin. The chill in the air is offset by the still-warm sun, and you can't help but feel involved in the entire process.

Also, there is candy corn.
